So much for that theory that states it’s difficult to beat a team three times in one season. Truthfully, that data proves that isn’t true, but we’re nearing a full week and a half since the Philadelphia Eagles disposed of the New York Giants for the third time in less than two months, and here. Philly won’t play the G-Men again until the 2023 regular season, yet they’re dangerously close to beating New York again. This time, a game of psychological warfare provides the backdrop.
Perhaps you’ve heard. Following Philly’s dominating 31-7 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, the Empire State Building lit up the New York skyline with a light show displaying hues of midnight green.
It’s difficult to come up with theories about how they thought that might go ever well in Gotham. As you might expect, it didn’t. The decision was met with angst by everyone from domestics and Giants fans to members of the New York media and even New York Jets center Nick Mangold.
Check out some of the highlights on Twitter!
New York football fans were outraged Sunday after the Empire State building lit up in green and white in honor of rival Philadelphia Eagles' NFC Championship win over the San Fransisco 49ers.

Those are just some of the highlights. Believe us… There are more, too many to display here.
Clearly, those losses to the Eagles are still fresh on the minds of Giants fans. Clearly, there’s still a stinging feeling.
Take the loss and move on New York! Come on! We expect more of you!
Eagles Nation will get a kick out of this one. The Empire State Building’s social media team fires back.
Tuesday morning came, and we thought that New York sports fans might move on. Nope! They were still in a tizzy. Believe it or not, this was still a thing in New York’s headlines almost 48 hours after its occurrence.
Here’s the best part. Truthfully, this is the main reason we decided to spend some time talking about this one. It appears the Empire State Building has had enough. They sent their social media soldiers to war.
