One week ahead of the 57th Super Bowl in NFL history, the revamped Pro Bowl kicked off. The Philadelphia Eagles, their eight Pro Bowl nods, and nine alternates were noticeably absent from the festivities.

That’s okay. No Birds fan is complaining as they’ve been given a pass thanks to qualifying for football’s biggest game. The social media team was very well aware of that fact.

Take a look!

A win on February 12th will give Philly its second Vince Lombardi Trophy in five seasons. If that sounds like a pretty big deal, it’s because it is. We’ll again be counting on the social media staff to keep up abreast of everything. We’re in good hands. They’re the best in the business.

Check out the Eagles’ Sunday morning pep rally and their departure from the NovaCare Complex.

Now, that’s a pep rally! At about 1 p.m. EST, they boarded their buses to catch their plane. Citizens of Glendale, Arizona beware!

The Eagles arrive in Glendale, Arizona for Super Bowl LVII.

Former Eagles head coach Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs arrived in Glendale first. The Birds touched down a few hours later.

The Philadelphia Eagles arrived just under an hour later. Check out the flag that was hanging from the cockpit. It’s truly a Philly thing.

Meanwhile, many miles away, Dawn Staley, a Philadelphia native, lifelong Birds fan, and head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks was leading the best women’s basketball team in all of college sports to an 81-77 win over the Uconn Huskies. Check out the gear she was wearing!

Welcome to a week like no other. The Super Bowl is an entirely different animal. Media coverage will be hot and heavy this week. There will be a week’s worth of buildup that leads up to the biggest game in all of football.

It’s a grind. It can make the average man weary, but it’s also evidence of something that we’ve known for a week now. Philadelphia is one win away from hoisting the second Vince Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.
