Every Chiefs wide receiver’s status for Super Bowl LVII versus Eagles
The Eagles’ secondary won’t have the luxury of avoiding Kadarius Toney on the field this Sunday.
Status: On track to play.
Kansas City picked up former first-rounder Kadarius Toney mid-season by way of a trade with the New York Giants. They gave up 2023 third-round and sixth-round draft picks in the process.
Toney did almost nothing for the Giants’ offense during his short stint there, but he has come alive in a red uniform. In seven games with K.C., he hauled in 4 receptions for 171 yards with two touchdowns. He also played a part in the rushing game, running for 59 yards with one score.
The former Flordia Gator has become a sneaky new weapon for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to look for when he is looking for an outlet.
It wasn’t a welcome sight for Kanas City fans to see one of the new exciting targets get hurt in the AFC Championship game. They have been cautious with him these past two weeks. He’s been limited at practices, but he was a full participant on Thursday and Friday despite the ankle injury.
He has no injury designation for Super Bowl LVII and will play in the big game this Sunday.
