Those who have cheered for the Philadelphia Eagles or have listened to their games on the radio are, no doubt, familiar with the voices. If you have ever seen the Birds featured on those epic NFL Films presentations that are released weekly during the season or annually when those yearbooks are put together, you have most certainly heard several calls by Merrill Reese and Mike Quick. They’re sort of a big deal.

Reese has been holding things down as the Eagles’ play-by-play announcer on the radio since December of 1977. He was inducted into the franchise’s Hall of Fame in 2016, 18 years after he was joined in the booth by his current partner, another of the team’s Hall of Famers.

These days, Mike Quick is the Eagles’ color analyst on Philly’s game-day radio call. He was formerly a legend of the gridiron. He appeared in 101 regular-season games with 90 starts. He caught 363 passes for 6,464 receiving yards and reached the end zone 61 times. In his lone playoff game, he caught five passes for 82 yards. He was inducted into the fraternity of franchise immortals in 1995.

Together, they host the best gameday call known to man, and it can be heard yet again on Super Bowl Sunday for the 57th iteration of football’s biggest game.

Here’s how you listen to the Eagles’ Super Bowl radio call and the national call on SiriusXM.

The Eagles have played 17 regular-season games and two more during the postseason. One more remains. One more win will earn them their second Vince Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.
