If the Eagles are looking to fish in the free agency pool, the AFC is loaded with talent worth considering.

32 total franchises… Eight divisions… Two conferences… The NFL game is a simple yet complex structure, one we can’t stop obsessing over. The 16 teams that make up the American Football Conference aren’t as familiar to the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans as the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders for a few reasons. The most obvious is, with the way pro football’s schedule is set up, you typically only see Philly lock horns with any given AFC team once every four years.

Still, even with that being said, Birds fans often peek at what’s going on in that other conference. Many of the game’s elite quarterbacks are there (Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen). Stars are on every team. We’re probably going to be paying more attention to what the Indianapolis Colts are doing now that Shane Steichen is at the helm.

Every AFC team is doing what we see Philly doing right now. They’re preparing for the NFL Scouting Combine. They’re looking at their impending free agents. They’re beginning to build their 2023-2024 rosters.

Like Philly, most teams won’t be able to hang on to all of their best players. That means some pretty big fish will be swimming in free agency’s pool. We’ve been staring at the names for months.

We’ve combed every roster. We’ve watched a ton of tape. Here’s one free agent that we would steal from every AFC team. We’ll let Howie Roseman make sense of how we’re going to pay them.
