Perhaps the only drawback to following and reporting on an NFL franchise daily is there, are, sometimes, instances in which there is bad news to report. We regret to inform you that Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Zach Pascal was reportedly robbed on Friday morning.

WPVI 6ABC News in Maryland reports that the fan favorite and Upper Marlboro native was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint during a visit to his old Maryland stomping ground.

Eagles news: According to Philly’s leadership, Zach Pascal is doing fine.

Police reports from Prince George’s County state two assailants approached Zach early on Friday morning and took his diamond necklace after pointing a gun in his direction.

Following the assault, Pascal was treated at the scene by police and attending medical staff for a few minor injuries.

6ABC also reports the Eagles organization issued a comment stating they’ve been in contact with Pascal, and are “happy to hear he’s doing fine.”

Pascal signed a one-year contract to join the Philadelphia Eagles on March 21st of 2022. That reunited him with Nick Sirianni who served as his offensive coordinator while both were members of the Indianapolis Colts organization.

He originally intended to wear the Number 11 jersey but elected to switch to the Number 3 jersey when Philly acquired A.J. Brown on the first night of the 2022 NFL Draft

Pascal is a graduate of Wise High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Authorities assigned are now looking for suspects.

We’re glad to hear that he’s doing okay, and fingers are crossed for his speedy recovery.
