Across the NFL, former Eagles shined in 2022 while wearing other uniforms.

Not everyone can make it in a Philadelphia Eagles uniform, and sometimes a change of scenery is a good thing for a player. When Nelson Agholor left the city of Brotherly Love, he went to the Las Vegas Raiders and had a career year. He used that to land a two-year, $26 million deal with New England Patriots. Unfortunately, he has regressed. He’s only been able to produce 835 yards receiving during the past two seasons.

Another former Birds player who has continued to prove himself to be a solid player is Rasul Douglas. He has been one of the Green Bay Packers’ best cornerbacks during the last two seasons. He has produced 142 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles, nine interceptions, and two pick-sixes over that time.

Then there’s Zach Ertz, a franchise legend and fan favorite. His most recent season with the Arizona Cardinals last year ended prematurely due to injuries.

Then, there’s another recently departed Eagles player, Carson Wentz. He’s officially a free agent right now (again). That’s a kind of sign of how far Wentz has fallen since his glory days in 2017.

Let’s look at some forgotten Birds (and the not so forgotten former Eagles), players who elevated their games and, possibly, their careers to another level in 2022.
