A new season brings new opportunities for young Eagles players to have a breakout season.

The 2023 free agency frenzy has provided some tough moments for Philadelphia Eagles fans this year. Despite the team holding on to many of its veterans, the younger stars have left the team and have landed in new cities.

It has only been a week, and the Birds have seen the departures of linebackers T.J. Edwards (Chicago Bears) and Kyzir White (Arizona Cardinals). Safety Marcus Epps has landed in Las Vegas with the Raiders. On top of all of that, they lost defensive tackle Javon Hargrave to the San Francisco 49ers.

It hasn’t been all bad news during the opening week of free agency. As mentioned, many of the familiar faces are still on the roster including Jason Kelce, James Bradberry, Fletcher Cox, Boston Scott, and Darius Slay.

According to the reports, Philadelphia is also trying its hardest to bring another key cog in the secondary back into the fold, C. J. Gardner-Johnson.

Goodbyes are tough, but they also bring an opportunity for younger players to make their mark and show what they have to offer. There’s hope that a youth movement is coming. Here’s a look at four Eagles who are primed for a larger role in the 2023 season. Everyone hopes they make good on their opportunities.
