Much has changed in a week as the Eagles have been busy during the first week of the NFL’s new year.

Change can be costly or beneficial in an ever-changing NFL. It just depends on how you play the game. Buckle up. We’re approaching one of the most important transitions in the Philadelphia Eagles‘ long history. The defending NFC champions are attempting to get back to the Super Bowl and win it. They’re going to have to do it with both old and new faces.

They have two new coordinators. They are dealing with roster turnover because of salary cap constraints, but change may benefit them, especially if some young guys grow up quickly a la Jalen Hurts.

One week into the new league year, there are questions about whether or not it was wise to hang on to so many of the veterans and allow so many young guys to walk. We’ll save those conversations for another time and place.

The point is, if they’re going to hoist another Vince Lombardi Trophy and do so this season, those old guys will again be asked to push those old bones a little harder and young guys and reserves are going to have to step up.

Ladies and gentlemen, many of your questions about Nakobe Dean are going to be answered. Jordan Davis must take another step, but then, there are the questions about the back half of the roster.

If some of these X-factors can step up, that would be a good thing. First things first though. With much of the offseason remaining and the NFL Draft nearing, we might want to ask how safe their spots on the roster are.

Here are a handful of guys who are suddenly in warmer seats despite the transition.
