Eagles new: Early projected win totals for 2023 are announced
Okay, we think we’re turning the corner here. The further one gets from heartbreak, the easier it becomes to smile. We’ve long known that the Philadelphia Eagles‘ loss in Super Bowl LVII won’t age well. In a flash, a squad with an opportunity to be remembered as the greatest team in franchise history became the most disappointing. Still, our favorite teams will fail during the postseason more often than they win it all. It’s an ugly fact of life, but it’s a fact nonetheless. All we can do is celebrate the great times when they arrive.
Despite Philly missing out on a tremendous opportunity to place themselves in some rare air, the 2022-2023 Eagles were fun to watch. Much of the core is intact for another deep postseason run with the 2023-2024 version. Ahead of the NFL Draft and with much of the offseason slate still remaining, everyone has theories about how many games they expect Philly to win.
Eagles news: Here’s what the oddsmakers predict the Eagles’ win total will be.
We don’t know the dates of the games yet, but we know who the Eagles are playing this season. Eight games are dedicated to AFC East and NFC West opponents. There are nine road games and the usual six games versus their foes in the NFC East. Draft Kings projects 10.5 wins for the Birds during the 2023-2024 regular season.
At the time of this story’s release, the OVER on that total is set at -150. The UNDER is set at +120.
Philly faces the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Commanders, Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, and San Francisco 49ers at home. Their road dates are against the Cowboys, Giants, Commanders, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
That’s a tough slate. If Philly walks out of that gauntlet with ten regular-season wins or more, there probably won’t be too many complaints about how the season went. Our guess is they’ll find a way to win a couple of games that aren’t accounted for by the oddsmakers and walk into the postseason with 12 wins or more.
That’s our story. We see no reason not to stick with it.
