Maybe you’re of a different opinion. We thought March Madness, the journey toward the NBA’s postseason, the start of a new MLB season, and all of the hype surrounding another NFL Scouting Combine ahead of another draft would tide us over. It hasn’t. All that made us do was yearn for the start of another Philadelphia Eagles season.

Sure, this is one of the best times of the year. The pre-draft process and all of those Pro Days are a lot of fun for us, but if we see another replay of Super Bowl LVII, we’re going to scream. That left a bad taste in our mouths. One that the XFL hasn’t been able to remove.

Honestly, this XFL stuff is more interesting than we thought it would be, and if we’re being honest, we’re one of the publications that was actually looking forward to the return, but we won’t lie to you by stating the final game of last season isn’t still on our minds.

There’s only one way to get over it. We need to see the Eagles back on the field and working their way back to football’s biggest stage again. Gosh… The season can’t get here fast enough.

Here’s a full list of the Eagles’ 2023-2024 opponents (just in case you need a reminder).

Who are we kidding? You guys are Birds fans. You’ve known who the 2023 opponents are for a while now. All we need to know now is when they’re playing.

We won’t take for granted that you’re a long-time fan though. Philadelphia battles the AFC East and NFC West this season. They hit the road nine times. Here’s a look at the opponents they’ll face at home and on the road.

Eagles home opponents

  • Dallas Cowboys
  • New York Giants
  • Washington Commanders
  • San Francisco 49ers
  • Minnesota VikingsBuffalo Bills
  • Miami Dolphins
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Arizona Cardinals

Pay attention to that 49ers game. They have handled themselves like some clowns since taking that beatdown at Lincoln Financial Field… Yeah, we said it!

Philly and San Fran should be among the best teams in the NFC again. We wouldn’t be shocked if there was a rematch in the NFC Championship Game.

Eagles road opponents

As stated, the Birds play nine games on the road. Check them out!

  • Dallas Cowboys
  • New York Giants
  • Washington Commanders
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Seattle Seahawks
  • New York Jets
  • New England Patriots
  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Kansas City Chiefs

Does anyone else have that game versus the Chiefs circled?

Early odds predict the Eagles win 10.5 games. In all honesty, despite playing a first-place schedule (one that figures to be more difficult than the one they played last season), we think they’re good enough to win 12 or 13. Time will tell. Again, September can’t get here fast enough.
