It won’t be long now! We’ve talked about this NFL Draft since the last one ended, and every time we watched an NCAA football game, while we were enjoying the festivities, it was hard to avoid imagining the college football stars we were watching at the next level. Where might they land and how might they perform? What’s the chance that we’re watching someone who will land on the Philadelphia Eagles‘ roster? Those were the questions that we were asking ourselves. We don’t have to wait much longer to find some answers.

The Birds have six picks. Everyone has made at least ten or so guesses about how they might use them. No one will be shocked if Howie Roseman works his magic and uses a couple as collateral, so he can maneuver his way around the draft board.

Expect a trade or two. There are a few mocks that have already predicted a few. Let’s span the globe and see what some other publications are saying. Here’s a roundup as we turn the page from March to April.

Here’s a look at what some of the high-profile platforms are saying as the Eagles near the end of April and another NFL Draft.

CBS Sports

We kick things off with a look at Chris Trapasso’s theory on CBS Sports. His three-round mock revisits a theory that was once popular among the Birds contingent, taking one of the game’s best cornerbacks at the tenth-overall selection. Devon Witherspoon is the choice. Here’s how Trapasso explains the theory.

"Witherspoon is an ultra feisty outside corner who’ll be the perfect mentee to Darius Slay and James Bradberry in Philadelphia. The Eagles like planning a year ahead with their draft picks."

Interior defensive lineman Bryan Bresee (Clemson Tigers) is the choice at 30 as Trapasso states “The Eagles reload along the defensive line — as per usual”.

Tight end Luke Musgrave (Oregon State) and EDGE Isaiah Land (Florida A&M) are the choices at pick 62 and pick 94 respectively

Bucky Brooks mocks Nolan Smith to the Philadelphia Eagles at ten in his most recent mock. Defensive tackle Mazi Smith is his pick for the Birds at 30. Scroll to the top of the page after you check this one out. Tap on the links for other theories by Daniel Jeremiah an intriguing four-round take by Chad Reuter among others.

Reuter throws us a curve ball. Philly swaps picks with Minnesota and moves back to the 23rd-overall selection. The Vikings sweeten the deal by throwing in a 2023 third-rounder and a 2024 first-rounder.

As a result, the Vikes take Former Kentucky Wildcats signal-caller Will Levis at ten. The Birds land former Northwestern defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore at 23 and safety Brian Branch at 30.

Reuter also mocks linebacker Jack Campbell (Iowa Hawkeyes) to the Birds at 62 in the second round before giving the Eagles guard Anthony Bradford at 87 and edge rusher Tuli Tuioulotu at 94  in Round 3.

Jeremiah’s third mock sends Lukas Van Ness, an edge rusher from Iowa, to Philadelphia at ten. His pick for the Eagles at 30 is another pass rusher, Felix Anudike-Uzomah from the Kansas State Wildcats.

ESPN +

We wrap this one with a mock draft that some of you have probably already seen if you’re paying the monthly fee for the Disney Bundle. Jordan Reid’s seven-round take on ESPN +. In his opinion, the 2023 Eagles draft class might look like this.

  • ROUND 1, PICK 10 – EDGE Nolan Smith, Georgia
  • ROUND 1, PICK 30 – DT Bryan Bresee, Clemson
  • ROUND 2, PICK 62 – WR Marvin Mims, Oklahoma
  • ROUND 3, PICK 94 – Safety Ji’Ayir Brown, Penn State
  • ROUND 7, PICK 219 – RB Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota
  • ROUND 7, PICK 248 – LB Jeremy Banks, Tennessee

As you can see, things are getting interesting. Keep your eyes peeled. The theories are sure to continue.
