As the NFL Draft approaches, opinions differ on whether or not Bijan Robinson should be the Eagles’ selection at ten.

We’ve heard this time and time again. Exceptions must be made for exceptional talent. NBA stars travel sometimes, and it isn’t called. Some coaches and star players are allowed to scream at the officials for a few more seconds. In terms of the coming NFL Draft, there’s a huge contingent of the Philadelphia Eagles’ fan base that backs the theory stating it would be wise for the Birds to take Bijan Robinson at the tenth-overall selection. There are also questions about whether or not that decision would be wise.

On the surface, it doesn’t seem like much to argue about here. Why not Bijan? The answer to that question comes just as quickly. You have all watched enough football to know why there’s some resistance to the idea.

Pro football doesn’t value the tailback position as it once did. As a result, they make less money. They are often ignored by the teams that draft them when they’re eligible for a second contract. Then again, Robinson is so good that he might be someone for whom exceptions should be made. We also know Philly is interested.

He visited the NovaCare Complex for a top-30 pre-draft visit in March, and he may be available at the tenth-overall selection when the Birds are on the clock. Will they draft him or not if he is? That’s the million-dollar question (pun intended).

In truth, we won’t know whether they will or won’t until the Birds are on the clock and make a selection. Until then, we’re allowed to do the fun stuff like debating whether they should or shouldn’t. Here we argue both sides.

Here are the best reasons to take Bijan Robinson at ten along with a few theories that demonstrate why it would be wise to ignore him. We begin with the latter. Buckle up. We have much to discuss.
