The Eagles are coming off a successful yet disappointing season but have an opportunity to improve the roster during the NFL Draft.

By now, you have probably figured out that losses aren’t created equally. There’s a decided difference between seeing the Philadelphia Eagles eliminated from the postseason entirely, as they were to conclude the 2020-2021 NFL season, and watching them lose on the grandest stage football offers. Look no further than the most recent Super Bowl if you need a refresher. Here’s the thing. Long seasons lead to shorter offseasons, and looky here! It’s almost time for the NFL Draft to kick off.

Here’s the good news. This dark cloud we feel like we have been trapped under has several silver linings. It isn’t often that you see a team qualify for the NFL’s biggest game while knowing they’ll also have a top-ten selection. In addition to that Philly has another first-rounder at their disposal.

There are other reasons to smile. We saw a lot of positive signs from Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts, Much of the roster’s core is still intact. This team has a legitimate championship window that has opened for them. Adding a few playmakers by way of the selection meeting could help establish this team as a unit that can make another deep playoff run.

No pressure. We’re just stating the obvious.

Another draft brings another opportunity to get better. What direction will Philly follow? We have seen mock drafts. We have heard theories about who they ought to add to the nest in Round 1 and during Round 2. Let’s explore the other angle. Here’s a handful of prospects that we would like to see them ignore. All of them are solid selections, but something just isn’t sitting right here.
