player. 42. . . . Brandon Aiyuk. 11

Brandon Aiyuk has been steady and reliable for the 49ers. Yes, the Eagles ignored him too.

Another wideout Philadelphia could have chosen at the 21st pick in the NFL Draft instead of Jalen Reagor was Brandon Aiyuk. He was taken four picks later by the San Francisco 49ers at the 25th overall selection. Eagles fans may have missed that as they were probably still stewing over the Reagor selection.

During his rookie campaign, Brandon racked up 60 receptions for 748 yards in 12 games with the Niners. The former Arizona State wideout would continue to up his game during the two seasons that followed.

Since the beginning of the 2021 regular season, he has appeared in 34 games with 33 starts. He has hauled in 134 receptions for 1,841 receiving yards with 18 touchdowns during that stretch.

He has eclipsed the 100-yard threshold four times in the regular season since 2020. His best game came in 2020. He caught ten receptions for 119 receiving yards in a 23-15 loss versus the Washington Commanders.

Aiyuk could have become in an Eagles jersey what Jalen Reagor couldn’t, a capable receiver that can assist in the return game. He racked up 785 kick return yards and 293 punt return yards while in college as a member of the Arizona State Sun Devils.
