Another NFL Draft approaches. If nothing changed, the Philadelphia Eagles own two selections in Round 1 and six picks overall, but you already know that. Here are a few nuggets if you’re new to this type of thing.

The coming pro football season is the 91st in Eagles history. It also doubles as their 21st at Lincoln Financial Field. Head coach Nick Sirianni returns for his third season at the helm.

He has a talented squad that believes in him. More talent will be added during the coming selection meeting. Kansas City hosts this one. Here are a handful of ideas about some future destinations.

Here are five cities that need to host an NFL Draft sooner rather than later.

Here’s an inside scoop. Covering every NFL Draft is fun, and even though the world-famous Radio City Music Hall provided a ton of memories, we have been enjoying the tour we have been on since 2015. The varying locations have given the selection meeting a bit of a Super Bowl feel.

Here are five locations that we hope wind up hosting the party before long.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The draft was hosted by the great city of Chicago in 2015 and 2016 before landing on the Philadelphia Museum of Arts’ steps in 2017. We’ll be honest. So far, selfishly, we rank that one as the best ever. Come to think of it, the 2017-2018 season wasn’t too shabby either.

Would it be too much if we asked for David Akers and Jon Dorenbos to announce the first-round picks instead of Roger Goodell?

Los Angeles, California

Perhaps you have heard. Football has returned to the City of Angels. An awesome stadium has been built out there. The NFL Network has a nice facility close by. That’s also a huge plus. No one has to teach Los Angeles or its citizens how to throw a party.

League offices saw fit to allow L.A. to host Super Bowl LVI. That brings the city’s tally to eight. Let’s hope they don’t wait too long to throw a draft party there as well.

Miami, Florida

Seriously… Does this one need an explanation?

Miami has hosted 11 Super Bowls. We can’t think of one reason not to host an NFL Draft there.

Tampa, Florida

No one needs a geography lesson here. We’re all aware that there are three professional football franchises in the Sunshine State. We’ll make long stories short. If there are ever any issues with hosting the draft in Miami, Tampa better be on a short list of backup options.

Who are we kidding? The Big Guava plays second fiddle to no one. It has been the host of five Super Bowls. Something tells us this fantastic city will host a draft soon as well. Hopefully, that will be sooner rather than later.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Are you noticing a trend here? If so, it’s totally unintentional, but a city that has hosted ten Super Bowls and has given us Mardi Gras, No Limit Records, jazz festivals, and gumbo has to be in the running as a host city for the NFL Draft.

Any objections? We didn’t think there would be. If all minds are clear, let’s move on to other topics.
