So, how did the Eagles’ rivals in the NFC East come out following the first night of the NFL Draft?

Round one of the 2023 NFL Draft is in the books. The Philadelphia Eagles have most certainly strengthened their defense. Perhaps you have heard. Former Georgia Bulldogs were again added to the nest.

Originally, slotted to pick tenth, the Birds traded up one spot to land one of the best players in the NFL Draft, Jalen Carter, ninth overall. At 30, they grabbed edge rusher Nolan Smith to help add youth to their defensive line.

You guessed it. He’s a former Dawg as well.

The Eagles are hoping Carter, Smith, Jordan Davis, and Nakobe Dean can recapture some of the same magic they displayed during their time in Athens. How about the rest of the NFC East? How did they do? Here’s a look at the Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants nights.

Did they close the gap? Did they fall further behind? We’re glad that you asked. Here’s a recap.
