Offseason roster upgrades point to some changes on the back half of the Philadelphia Eagles roster.

What a difference a month makes, huh? Ahead of the most recent free-agency spike, there was fear that the Philadelphia Eagles‘ super-talented roster would be gutted. Who would have thunk? Thanks to pro football’s best front office things worked out better than we could have hoped.

Sure, Javon Hargrave left for a huge payday, and we expected him to. C.J. Gardner-Johnson and some of the young talent walked as well, most notably T.J. Edwards and Isaac Seumalo, but Howie Roseman rolled up his sleeve and found a way to hang on to most of his key veterans while adding some young role players, AND inking the franchise, Jalen Hurts, to a long-term extension. Then came the 2023 NFL Draft.

A highly-touted seven-man draft class preceded the addition of some intriguing undrafted free agents. Just like that, there are discussions that this roster might be even more talented than the one we saw the Eagles field last season.

However, with elevation and upgrades comes change. There are some guys on the back half of the roster that have to be feeling the pressure now. This is their story. While it’s definitely too early to make guarantees, here are some guys that climbed onto Philly’s 2022 roster that may be in danger of falling off of the unit once we reach the dawn of another NFL season.
