There are whispers that the Philadelphia Eagles might be better in 2023.

Once time ran out on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII and red and gold confetti fell on the Kansas City Chiefs, a sad reality set in almost immediately. One of the most impressive Birds teams that we had ever seen assembled would also be remembered as being one of the most disappointing.

The offseason came, and as expected, so did change. Some wondered if this team would take a step back. Almost three months later, a solid showing during the first wave of free agency and the addition of seven draftees has restored hope. Might this team be better than the most recent?

Much will change between now and the first week of the 2023-2024 NFL season. If the Eagles had to play a game tomorrow, however, we believe they’d win.

What might the initial 53-man roster look like in four months? Truthfully, no one knows, but everyone, no doubt, has ideas. Here are a few guesses. We reserve the right to change our minds by tomorrow morning.

Here’s a look at the specialists.

We’re going semi-bold here. The undrafted rookie punter shakes things up and takes the job from Arryn Siposs. ‘Legatron’, Ty Zentner also adds insurance if, Heaven forbid, there’s another unforeseen injury to Jake Elliott.

Zentner was perfect on 31 extra-point attempts and all 11 of his field-goal attempts.

Placekicker: Jake Elliott

Punter: Ty Zentner

Long snapper: Rick Lovato

That was easy. Let’s take a look at the offense.
