Recent requests for D’Andre Swift’s jersey aren’t coming from Eagles fans
Taylor Swift fans have been on the hunt for an Eagles D’Andre Swift jersey.
Many were excited when the Philadelphia Eagles traded for D’Andre Swift during the most recent NFL Draft, but it appears that news struck a chord with non-football fans as well. It appears his new Number 0 jersey is being hunted ahead of Taylor Swift’s Eras concert, which runs from Friday through Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.
Yes, Birds fans are excited for the official NFL schedule release on Thursday so they can plan their trips to The Linc to see an Eagles game, but this weekend is all about the Swifties jamming out with their girl.
This doubles as Taylor’s first performance at the Lincoln Financial Field since July of 2018, when she was touring for her Reputation album.
The City of Philadelphia is excited to see Taylor Swift’s return.
Businesses, restaurants, and bars have been hosting events all week to celebrate the singer. The Swifties have been trying their hardest to purchase a De’Andre Swift shirt and/or jersey for the show as local sporting goods stores in the Philadelphia area have been bombarded with calls. The connection between the music superstar and the newest Eagles running back doesn’t stop there. Both are from Pennsylvania. De’Andre is from Philadelphia and Taylor is from Reading and grew up in Wyomissing.
One became a solid halfback who has run for over 1,680 yards with 18 touchdowns. The other one has sold millions of records and performed at sold-out shows for over a decade.
Taylor Swift has said in her past stops in Philly that she remembers growing up and seeing her dad watch Eagles games on TV. The pop singer and her band even donned Birds jerseys during her 2011 Speak Now Philadelphia stop in her encore performance.
This will be Taylor’s fifth performance at The Linc and her fourth time having a multi-day stop in the City of Brotherly Love. Hey, maybe D’Andre and Taylor could meet this weekend. That would most certainly be the icing on the cake, wouldn’t it?
