This time, the Philadelphia Eagles get to take their shot at the Cardinals at home.

If you’re a young pup, you have probably heard from your parents or grandparents that, once upon a time, the NFL consisted of six divisions. Their setup would make you believe pro football’s league offices needed a geography lesson.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers played in the NFC Central. The Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints were members of the NFC West, and believe it or not, the Arizona Cardinals were the fifth member of the NFC East.

For most of our lives, the Eagles have been relatively competitive while the Cards have left much to be desired. Believe it or not, however, Arizona leads the all-time series by a 60-57-5 margin. They have also won six of the last nine meetings. Prior to last October, Philly had never won in State Farm Stadium. These two teams meet again during the 2023-2024 regular season. This time, the Eagles are the home team.

Long story short, the Eagles are the better team, and we believe they’ll win this one easily. Don’t expect a warm homecoming for Jonathan Gannon.

The Eagles complete the season sweep of the New York Giants in the finale.

The Giants threw the Eagles a bone this offseason by way of their decision to ink Daniel Jones to a four-year, $160 million contract extension on March 7th. If you were listening closely, you may have heard fans cheering in both New York and Philadelphia.

The Eagles versus Giants Divisional Round Game proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that, despite the fact that the G-Men have improved, the Birds are light years ahead of them. New York isn’t any better today than it was this past January.

During the coming season, we expect to see the Eagles sweep their division rivals again. In order for them to do that, they have to win the first game, which they will.

Philly wins this one easily in Jersey.

Final record: 13-4 (1st place in the NFC East and home-field throughout the NFC Playoffs)
