The Eagles’ secondary hopes to continue suffocating opposing wide receivers during the 2023-2024 NFL season.

Once the 2022-2023 regular season wrapped, 22 players had eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving. During the coming Philadelphia Eagles campaign, the defending NFC Champions will cross paths with 12 of them.

The Birds were the best team in football when their opponents put the ball in the air. They finished first versus the pass allowing a league-low 3,057 yards. That averages out to 179.8 yards per contest. That too was a league low.

Philadelphia will again be tested by some impressive passing attacks. Players like CeeDee Lamb (Dallas Cowboys), Mike Evans (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) Chris Godwin (also from Tampa), and Brandon Aiyuk (San Francisco 49ers) come to mind.

They will also face tight end Travis Kelce, another of the 22 players that collected more than 1,000 yards receiving. If the Eagles finish first versus the pass again this time around, it won’t be easy. New defensive coordinator Sean Desai faces a gauntlet in his first season with his new team. Here are eight guys who could provide a tough day at the office.
