Jalen Hurts earns master’s degree from University of Oklahoma

When we’re done writing his football story, Jalen Hurts‘ autobiography will be quite the read. Truthfully, it already is. There’s money that has been left on the table as he would say. If we could grab him for 15 minutes and ask him what he’s thinking, he’d probably tell us that the rent is due tomorrow so he’s going to work, but if he’s out there listening, we’d like to tell QB1 of the Philadelphia Eagles to keep the main thing the main thing. It’s okay to stop and smell the roses sometimes.

He has a lot to be proud of already. We’ll keep working on that MVP trophy and Super Bowl ring, but while we sit back and marvel proudly over what might be the most mature 24-year-old that the world has ever seen, how about a round of applause?

We can now add a master’s degree to the mantle.

Most of us will never know what it’s like to take the field as the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles. Statistically, believe it or not, the chances were higher that we could have become QB1 of the Alabama Crimson Tide or the Oklahoma Sooners, but those same studies tell us that probably won’t happen for most of us either.

Jalen Hurts has done all of that, and he’s earned those opportunities through hard work, but he still felt there was some unfinished business. With that being said, he kept his head down, never closed those textbooks, and recently turned in another of those rent payments.

Jalen Hurts has stated on multiple occasions during interviews that his mother inspired him to complete his education as she’s the owner of a master’s as well. He most certainly listened. Now, he has one of his own, and no one can take it away from him. Congrats to the entire Hurts family for this massive achievement.
