Felix Anudike-Uzomah, EDGE, Chiefs. 2. player. 124. . .

Goal number one for the Eagles in 2023 is keeping Jalen Hurts upright. Goal number one for the Chiefs is preventing that from happening.

Schemes change in the NFL. So do coaches. Here’s what never changes. Every defense wants to get to the opposing team’s quarterback and bring him down or alter his effectiveness as often as possible. As around, there will never be an era of football, regardless of how much the game evolves, where a strong pass rush won’t be necessary.

The Eagles met the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. Philly racked up 417 offensive yards, scored 35 points, and lost anyway. The goal for both teams this offseason involved improving their pass rush and defensive front.

The Birds added Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith in Round 1 of the most recent NFL Draft. K.C. added Felix Anudike-Uzomah after he racked up 20.5 sacks at the collegiate level during 27 career games en route to First-Team All-American and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors. He also racked up 26.5 tackles which resulted in a loss of yardage over that time.

The Chiefs hope all of his collegiate success translates. The Eagles get their first taste of Felix on Monday Night Football in Week 11.
