Five days into training camp, the Philadelphia Eagles continue to deliver a mixed bag of performances, leaving fans wondering who the real Eagles are.
On Day 5, the offense struggled, but this time it was because more of the backups played against the starters, leaving Jalen Hurts' numbers not to look as good. At least the defense is seeing its safeties play at a high level, which gives them hope.
Now that five days have passed, who have been the players making the most noise, both positively and negatively? Take a look at some of those players and how things are going for them.
Which Eagles players are dominating training camp and who is fading?
Dontayvion Wicks, WR - Dominating
It's becoming a daily occurrence where Wicks is getting praised for a completion he got from Hurts. Wicks seems to have really good chemistry with his quarterback and has quickly become his favorite target. He had a highlight deep ball completion that has given the fan base something to be excited about for the 2026 season.
Kelee Ringo, CB - Fading
Ringo is dropping on the depth chart, and there's not much hope he'll ever get significant playing time on defense again. This might be the year when his special teams play does not save him. He needs to step up over the next four weeks, as he is in danger.
Jalyx Hunt, EDGE - Dominating
Hunt is continuously making plays and running over offensive tackles in training camp. He is bigger and stronger, which is scary since he's already one of the most athletic players on the defensive side of the ball. This man is on his way to having a breakout 2026 season coming up.
Nolan Smith Jr., EDGE - Fading
With Hunt getting all the attention, there really hasn't been much about Smith in training camp. He isn't having a bad camp by any stretch, but things also aren't going as well as Hunt's. Smith was already behind the eight-ball going into training camp with his offseason arrest, so he's got some work to do.
Darius Cooper, WR - Dominating
Another wide receiver who seems to be making plays daily. Cooper continues to have reports of making one-handed catches and is outperforming most of his other receivers. This feels a lot like what happened last training camp for Cooper, but he's getting better as a pass catcher.
Will Shipley, RB - Fading
Shipley had a noteworthy drop in training camp on Day 5, leaving him in trouble once again when it comes to playing time. He might still make the roster as a returner, but it doesn't seem likely he'll actually step on the field on offense. He might still be on the roster bubble until the end of camp because he's not helping himself.

Jeremiah Trotter Jr., LB - Dominating
Jihaad Campbell missed a practice, and Trotter took full advantage of the situation. That's really been the theme of camp for Trotter, as he gets rotated into the starting lineup. This is the year when everything comes together for the young linebacker and makes everyone forget about Nakobe Dean.
