The Philadelphia Eagles have already started preparation for their Week 2 showdown against the Tennessee Titans.
Philly is coming off a two-point win over the Washington Commanders, while the Titans took an ugly 23-10 loss to the New York Jets. With those results, Eagles fans might think they have an easy time against the Titans, and it should be a blowout. They can't have that kind of mindset.
Six Titans players could be major headaches for the Eagles, and Philly has to take them out of the game plan by shutting them down early. Here are the players the Eagles need to watch.
Who on the Titans do the Eagles need to make sure they stop in Week 2?
Anthony Hill Jr., LB
This guy is a tackling machine for the Titans, finishing with 16 tackles and two pass deflections in the loss to the Jets. Hill can fly all over the field, so the Eagles' offensive line has to get to the second level and block him. The Eagles want to establish the run, and he can easily disrupt that quickly.
Wan'Dale Robinson, WR
The Titans love their former New York Giants player to work with new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, so it made sense that Robinson was so involved last week. Robinson had six targets and caught five of them for 38 yards. Philly would love to introduce him to Quinyon Mitchell and Riq Woolen on the outside to show how good they are.
Tony Pollard, RB
Pollard is a guy the Eagles know well from his time with the Dallas Cowboys, so they know the breakaway speed he can bring to the table. He had a quiet 35 yards against the Jets, but still averaged five yards per carry. Tennessee wants to be a more balanced team, and last week showed the Eagles need to make sure that they make the Titans a passing team, because they are much worse as a one-dimensional team.
Jeffery Simmons, DT
Simmons has always been a disruptor for the Titans, but he can be a massive problem for the Eagles' offensive line. He had three pressures and three hurries in Week 1, showing that Philly has their hands full with him. The focus will be on Drew Kendall and Cam Jurgens handling Simmons at the line and not letting him get in Jalen Hurts' face early and often.
Carnell Tate, WR
Tennessee wants to get Tate involved as their 2026 first-round pick, and he will get his targets. He led the team last week with four receptions for 38 yards. Good thing the Eagles have Mitchell and Woolen on the outside to make Tate's life miserable and shut him down.

Cam Ward, QB
Ward may still be working out the kinks as a starting quarterback in the NFL, but he still has the athletic ability to do it. Last week against the Jets, he threw for just 140 yards and one touchdown, while adding 21 yards on four carries in the loss. The Eagles need to have Zack Baun on a QB Spy on him and not let him break contain, and that will give them an easy win.
