Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown was at the center of one of the best soap operas in football this week after his comments on a Twitch stream got everyone in an uproar, but their Week 11 matchup with the Detroit Lions was him getting back to work.

Brown stayed busy against the Lions as he got team-highs in targets (11), receptions (seven), and yards (49) in the Eagles' 16-9 win. Despite the team getting a massive win, we all knew where the conversation was going in the game: Brown didn't have an explosive game, so the media needed his thoughts.

That's precisely what happened after the game as Brown addressed the media in front of his locker, where he faced an avalanche of questions. Brown had to respond to questions from his targets about the offense struggling. The answers that Brown provided, though, were just as good as fans could have expected.

Brown's answers for his performance and the team's play in the win over Lions

While giving his flowers to the defense and how they played, Brown was complimentary to the team as a whole for winning a tough game the way they did.

"This team is resilient. We show up, work hard, and find a way, no matter what it looks like. We know one thing is we're gonna show up and we're gonna fight."

One noticeable aspect of the Eagles was the number of penalties, as the team committed nine penalties for 78 yards, with many of those occurring on offense, particularly pre-snap penalties that cost them valuable opportunities. Brown acknowledged that those mistakes were a big reason the offense only got 272 yards total.

"It's self-inflicted. As soon as we got going, we shot ourselves in the foot. If somebody just beats us, hats off to them. But, it's some things that we aren't doing."

One reporter asked about Brown getting a high number of targets, but the offense was still struggling to get much going throughout the contest. The star receiver made it clear that his comments from last week and throughout the season are not about the targets.

"It wasn't about targets last week or the week before. Not at all. It was about me tryna help contribute regardless of what that looks like."

Another interesting moment from his time with the media was Brown being asked whether the manufactured touches were a good step in the right direction for the offense. He kept it short with a two-word response.

"Yeah, sure."

Overall, Eagles fans are pleased that Brown is more involved in the offense, and the receiver answered those questions well, but there are still major issues with the unit, as they did not perform well at all. This team still has a ton to fix if it wants to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
