One thing that Philadelphia Eagles fans know about general manager Howie Roseman is that he knows how to get a great deal on a trade for his team.

For years, many NFL fans have complained that Roseman is able to land the right deal that doesn't give the Eagles the market value, and they are able to save themselves from losing key assets that would get lost in a normal deal. It's rare to see Roseman miss, but a new update could really see him get unleashed

While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, ESPN NFL insider Schefter shared a report that there might be a push to allow an NFL team to add more in a trade. The current limit on draft picks is three years, but that could be extended to five years in the offseason.

Howie Roseman might be given a green light to add more in a trade

What an opportunity this could be for Roseman if the NFL decides teams can add a half-decade worth of draft picks in a trade. This could really open up the floodgates for teams to throw everything on the table to acquire a star player or the number one overall pick.

Roseman has rarely given up more than two picks in a trade in a deal, as he would prefer to keep all the picks he can. The only time he actually did that was to move up in the 2016 NFL Draft to select quarterback Carson Wentz with the second overall pick.

This would, though, allow Roseman to get creative with deals moving forward. He came up short in his attempt to acquire defensive stars like Myles Garrett and Micah Parsons because he couldn't acquire more picks, or at least wasn't willing to. Parsons is off the table, but Garrett could have a chance to be an Eagle if Roseman gives Cleveland a deal they couldn't resist.

If the NFL changes this rule, the Eagles most likely wouldn't abuse this as much, but don't sleep on Roseman to do his work in the kitchen and cook up a deal that could change the future of the franchise for the better, simply by adding a few more years of picks on a trade.
