A.J. Brown keeps his word and plays some hero ball for a young Eagles fan

A.J. Brown keeps his word, but no one is shocked about that.

Can we state what we know most of you have been thinking? We're sick of the 'A.J. Brown is a bad teammate' rhetoric. Okay, he's a wide receiver, and he wants the ball. Can you name a good one who didn't? Let's not confuse the desire to win with division.

We've wondered this for a while now. If A.J. Brown valued anything other than winning and didn't want to be on a roster with other stars, why did he join the Philadelphia Eagles? Why didn't he just stay in Tennessee with the Titans? That would have been his 'big fish in a small pond' opportunity.

Rather than play football, a game where 22 men are on the field at the same time, why didn't he box or decide to play tennis? Here's where we ask questions AND answer them. The truth is A.J. Brown isn't selfish at all. He's selfless, and that gets ignored because stirring the pot is an often more welcomed approach than highlighting someone's good traits.

A.J. Brown shows a softer side and keeps a promise he made before the Eagles' Super Bowl 59 win.

Too often, we ignore the true heroes, men and women who may not have one million Instagram followers but dedicate themselves to helping others. That's who Andre Howard is, a young Eagles fan who was hit in the head by debris while trying to shield his sister during the recent plane crash in Philadelphia.

A.J. heard of young Andre's heroism and promised to pay him a visit after the Eagles' business trip to New Orleans. He also noted he hoped he'd be bringing some hardware.

Well, there isn't an Eagles fan walking that doesn't know how that trip to New Orleans went. A.J. scored a touchdown in the big game, his team won, and we got back to Philly, he kept his promise.

Now, we understand seeing this softer side of A.J. doesn't agree with your narratives. We're sorry to disappoint you, but stories like these deserve to be told more often.

Great job A.J.! And, we thank you Mr. Howard! You're a great young man already, and we truly salute you and tip our cap for your bravery.
