For weeks, we've thought, if the Philadelphia Eagles are to win the NFC's crown and advance to Super Bowl LIX, they'd do so on the backs of their offensive line. Coincidentally, Cam Jurgens popped up on the injury report with a back injury.

We've monitored his progress all week. He didn't participate on Wednesday or Thursday. He was a limited participant on Friday. He was deemed questionable. Game day arrived and clips of his warmup flooded social media.

Will he play, or won't he? He stretched. He took a few snaps. Then, he tried to do some blocking while other teammates continued warming up. Landon Dickerson began taking some snaps. Finally a verdict was rendered

Cam Jurgens is ruled out of the Eagles' NFC Championship Game vs. the Commanders.

Well, this isn't shocking, but it also isn't unexpected. The Eagles have ruled Cam Jurgens out of today's game.

If you're into matchups, it helps that Commanders' defensive tackle Daron Payne also isn't playing. He was ruled out on Saturday.

Much has been made of the Commanders' inability to stop the running game of opposing offenses. Both sides have been served a disadvantage. We'll see what happens.

The Eagles are favored to win at home. It won't be easy. Washington isn't coming to town to roll over.
