Here we go again. Philadelphia Eagles fans thought they were out of the woods with the wide receiver A.J. Brown trade rumors, but some people can't help themselves.
FS1 host Colin Cowherd was back at it again as he shared his thoughts on the future of Brown in Philadelphia. Cowherd doesn't believe Brown will be on the Eagles for long and could be an option for the New England Patriots.
"Keep your eye on Philadelphia and A.J. Brown. The last 20 games, nobody has run the ball more than Philadelphia. The soul of the offense is Saquon Barkley, the o-line, and Jalen Hurts, but one target to me, to A.J. Brown. It's not about catches. They didn't even target him. Remember, New England needs a number one. Mike Vrabel has worked with A.J. Brown. What they need is somebody that can come in and produce. So, I think A.J. Brown in New England is in play. I think what's also very clear is since last year's bye week, nobody has thrown the ball less than the Philadelphia Eagles."

Are we back to talking about Brown not in the Midnight Green uniforms again?
All of this is being sparked from Brown's tough performance in the Eagles' 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Brown was targeted just once, and that came with under two minutes left in the fourth quarter. He did catch that pass for eight yards that helped set up Jalen Hurts' four-yard run on third down to seal the victory.
Brown has been an intigal part of the Eagles' passing attack over the last three years as he has led the team every year in receiving yards. He has never finished a season in Philadelphia under 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns.
Everyone likes to connect Brown to the Patriots because he previously played under Mike Vrabel when the two were together in Tennessee with the Titans. Yes, that would make sense, but the Eagles have not considered moving on from Brown.
He's way too important to the offense. He and Hurts have stellar chemistry, even if some like to pin the two against each other.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has preached to the receivers on the team that there will be games where they can get either two or 12 catches. They are looking for unselfish players on the team to help out, and Brown has been that guy.

Philly will not move on from Brown unless it is too good an offer for general manager Howie Roseman to pass up on. Expect Brown on the team the whole season.
