The Philadelphia Eagles clinched the NFC East division title spectacularly, demolishing the Dallas Cowboys 41-7. A few hours later, the prime-time spotlight was on a division rival fielding former Eagles: Olamide Zaccheaus and Zach Ertz. Yes, we're still thinking about this a few days later.

Both played pivotal roles in the Washington Commanders’ 30-24 overtime victory against the Atlanta Falcons. Their standout performances helped secure a playoff berth for Washington and reminded fans of their big plays in Midnight Green.

Yes, it's time to reminisce real quick...

Before making their mark in Washington’s playoff-clinching victory, both Olamide Zaccheaus and Zach Ertz honed their skills in Philadelphia. Zaccheaus played in a limited capacity last season, finishing with 10 receptions for 164 yards and two touchdowns, often stepping in during key moments.

Zach Ertz, on the other hand, is an Eagles legend. Over nine seasons in Philadelphia, he recorded 579 receptions for 6,267 yards and 38 touchdowns, including a game-winning score in Super Bowl LII. Ertz’s contributions were a cornerstone of the Eagles’ offensive identity for nearly a decade.

Olamide Zaccheaus and Zach Ertz dazzled in a huge prime-time matchup in Week 17.

Olamide Zaccheaus and Zach Ertz seized the opportunity to shine in a game full of playoff implications. Zaccheaus, stepping up in the absence of Dyami Brown and Noah Brown, turned in a clutch performance.

He caught eight of nine targets for 85 yards and a touchdown, adding an eight-yard rush to cap off his night. His ability to find gaps in the Falcons’ defense was instrumental in keeping Washington in the game.

Meanwhile, Zach Ertz showcased the same reliability that made him a Philadelphia legend. He snagged six of seven targets for 72 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning catch in overtime. Ertz’s leadership and veteran poise helped guide rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels to a milestone victory.

The Eagles' dominance and Commanders' postseason surge define the NFC East race.

While the Eagles dominated their way to another division crown, the Commanders proved they belong in the playoff conversation. Jayden Daniels, Washington’s rookie quarterback, had a season-defining performance with three touchdown passes and 127 rushing yards.

Despite a valiant effort from rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and star receiver Drake London, the Atlanta Falcons fell short. Their playoff hopes now hinge on a chaotic Week 18, while Washington controls its own destiny.

The Falcons will need to win against the Carolina Panthers and pray the New Orleans Saints find a way to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In this scenario, the Falcons can find a way into the playoffs with an NFC South title.
