Cooper DeJean enjoys signature moment with a bone-jarring Derrick Henry tackle
Something told us the Philadelphia Eagles were on to something when they drafted Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in consecutive rounds. Keep in mind the fact that, once upon a time, there were days when we weren't sure if Philly would be in a position to draft either of them.
Saying the Birds struck gold would be an understatement. Barring injury, these guys are going to be good for a very long time. It's early. Their rookie seasons aren't even over, but we've seen enough. The evidence is overwhelming. These guys are special.
Cooper DeJean places his stamp on an impressive Eagles win over the Baltimore Ravens.
There are really no words that can do this justice. We'll try anyway. The Baltimore Ravens were facing a third-and-11 scenario. Lamar Jackson dropped one off to Derrick Henry. That's a good idea, right?
Normally, when one says 'Derrick Henry gets a one-on-one opportunity in the open field', things go in the King's favor.
Nope! Not on this occasion!
We'll say what the rest of you were thinking. Wins should never be counted before time expires, but we were confident when the Eagles crafted a nine-point lead. After this tackle, we were certain of an Eagles win.
When next offseason rolls around, and NFL Films starts releasing those half-hour team playbooks they drop every offseason, that play will be in the documentary. That we can promise you!
Regardless of how the Philadelphia Eagles' season turns out, this is one of those moments that will dominate SportsCenter and rest on the lips of Eagles fans forever and ever.
