Dallas Goedert exits Eagles vs. Browns game with an apparent injury

Well, we just can't get this entire offense on the field at the same time, can we?

Well, so much for getting the band back together. We spent much of the week pumping ourselves up because we were expectant of returns by Lane Johnson, AJ Brown, and DeVonta Smith. Finally... We'd get to see the entire Philadelphia Eagles offense on the field for the first time since Week 1.

Not so fast as Lee Corso would say.

Dallas Goedert ran a strange-looking route on the Eagles' first drive. He then took a trip to the medical tent before entering the locker room. Not good... A hamstring injury is the diagnosis, and he's questionable to return.

Goedert wasn't on the field for Philly's second drive. He did, however, return to the sideline to sit with the tight ends. We'll let you know as soon as updates are received.

Dallas Goedert's absence is a tough loss for the Eagles, but Philadelphia's offense is still loaded with weapons.

Dallas Goedert is one of the top tight ends in the NFL. He gets lost in the offensive shuffle surrounded by many great teammates. Saquon Barkley, AJ Brown, and DeVonta Smith are hard to ignore, but when the ball is thrown in 88's direction, good things happen.

The offense has been unimaginative to start the Eagles vs Browns clash. (10 plays, 21 yards, and two punts), but the good news is Jalen Hurts' top two receivers are back. We all know injuries occur, but we still hate to see them.

Our fingers are crossed that Dallas Goedert's injury isn't serious. It would be nice to see the full complement of weapons on the field for Kellen Moore, Jalen Hurts, and the Eagles offense. We haven't seen that since Week 1 in Brazil versus the Cleveland Browns.

Update: As expected, Goedert was downgraded to 'out'.

We repeat. Hopefully this won't keep him out of the lineup for too long.
