No one loves NFL Draft discussions more than we do, but every man has his breaking point. I need a break. That's why I've spent this past week delving into potential 2026 salary cap casualties and 2025 free agents whom I'm not sure the Philadelphia Eagles won't miss. Let's see... What else can we discuss?

How about this upcoming title defense?

April showers brings May flowers. That's what they tells us. May brings the NFL's schedule release. We know who Philly's opponents are. Now, we need only be informed of each game's date. The consensus is we'll be given answers toward the middle of our great nation's fifth month.

Eagles 2025 regular-season opponents

We didn't want to take for granted that everyone knows who Philly's 2025-26 opponents are. They are as follows:

Home Games

  • Dallas Cowboys
  • New York Giants
  • Washington Commanders
  • Chicago Bears
  • Detroit Lions
  • Los Angeles Rams
  • Denver Broncos
  • Las Vegas Raiders

Road Games

  • Dallas Cowboys
  • New York Giants
  • Washington Commanders
  • Green Bay Packers
  • Minnesota Vikings
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • Buffalo Bills

As you can see, the Birds will play in eight home games and another nine on the road. They visit the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium for the second time in three seasons.

The NFL's vice president of broadcast planning offers Eagles fans a hint of when the schedule might be released.

Mike North is the NFL's vice president of broadcast planning, and he recently appeared on an episode of Sal Capaccio's Always Gameday in Buffalo podcast. He offered the following:

"Somewhere in the May 13, 14, or 15 range is probably still our target."

Last year, the 2024 NFL schedule was released on Wednesday, May 15. The schedules for the 2021 and 2022 regular seasons were released on May 12. If league offices look to stay with Wednesday as their desired release day, that slots us at Wednesday, May 14.

North also added that, if the schedules are complete and approved before then, the NFL may go with an earlier release date:

"Really, you never know. If by some miracle, we're done on May 7 and we present one to the boss [Roger Goodell] and the commissioner says, 'Hey, this is perfect, I wouldn't change a thing, guys.' We're done. Pencils down. If so, probably no reason to sit on it."

So, we wait, almost like we're anticipating Christmas in the summertime. If you're interested, we've already jotted Ws and Ls next to the names of each opponent. We don't see the Birds finishing any worse than with a 12-5 or 13-4 record.
