All Philadelphia Eagles fans were relieved to escape the nightmare of the trade deadline rumors of wide receiver A.J. Brown and see him back in the midnight green uniform.
Brown was back at practice for the first time since missing the Week 8 New York Giants game with the hamstring injury. He also returned after he was the center of much trade speculation before the trade deadline.
Reporters were out in front of his locker after practice to get all the details and swarm him with questions. To Brown's credit, he took each of those questions head-on.
Brown responds to trade speculation and whether he still wants to be in Philly
The first question asked Brown how his mindset was and how he felt during his two-week break. Brown was focused on his family.
"Out in the front and out in the back in my yard playing football with my son. That's it."
A follow-up was conducted on all the trade speculation surrounding whether he might be dealt and whether Brown felt it was a possibility. Again, Brown kept it focused on himself and his family.
"I don't know. I think it's the nature of the business, but like I said my focus was to be present with my family, my kids, and get healthy."
After missing the Giants game in Week 8, there were questions about whether he would be ready to go against the Green Bay Packers in Week 10. Brown crushed that question with four words.
"I'm playing. I'm good."
This is where things got interesting, as Brown answered questions about whether he wanted to be in Philadelphia. Brown took exception to this question and fired back.
"Has I said anything to not be here?"
So far this season, Brown has caught 29 passes for 395 yards and three touchdowns in seven games. This is a far cry from the guy who has posted 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons with the Eagles, but he is still dominating in his own way.
