Well. it's been a busy month. The Philadelphia Eagles began February by sending their scouts to the Senior Bowl. Meanwhile, a takeover was occurring in the Big Easy.
Philly was also the NFC's representative in the most recent Super Bowl. Their fans transformed Caesars Superdome to Lincoln Financial Field South, one with a roof on the facility.
Then, they blew the roof off of that facility.
A parade came on Valentine's Day, Birds were on just about every morning and late night talk show. A great month concludes with a trip to Indianapolis for the NFL Combine.
League offices also made an announcement. The 2025 salary cap is finally set.
The Eagles should have about $20 million in cap space for the upcoming NFL season.
We've gone back and forth about this, making guesses about a figure for pro football's 2025 NFL salary cap. Many of the experts were fairly close, guessing a number in the $279 million range. Recently, teams were told the cap number would rise "from $255.4 million last year to between $277.5 million and $281.5M".
Hours before the first round of workouts at the NFL Combine began, ESPN's Adam Schefter made an announcement. The officially cap number for 2025 is $279.2 million per club.

Each team has been informed of the new number. The Eagles haven't begun working yet, but this should give them something in the area of $20 million in cap space.
