It appears that both the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are dealing with injuries that could impact the game in Week 4 on Sunday.

On Monday, 6ABC's Jason Dumas reported Eagles cornerbacks Adoree' Jackson and Jakorian Bennett are hurt and might not play against the Buccaneers. NFL insider Tom Pelissero followed up on Tuesday with the report that the Buccaneers will reportedly be without wide receiver Mike Evans for multiple weeks.

Jackson is dealing with a groin injury, and Bennett's is unknown. Evans is going to be out with a hamstring injury.

Eagles might have caught a break with the Evans news

This certainly changes the approach of Philly going into their Week 4 game. Not having to deal with Evans is a significant advantage, as he has been one of the most consistent receivers in the NFL over the last decade.

The Eagles will have to go up against Chris Godwin and rookie standout Emeka Egbuka for the Buccaneers. That still presents a troubling matchup problem for the Eagles in their secondary.

Either rookie Mac McWilliams or Kelee Ringo is going to have to lineup as CB2 if Jackson and Bennett are not able to go. McWilliams showed promise in training camp and the preseason, but is expected to be viewed more as a solid nickel corner early in his career. Ringo was in competition with Jackson for the CB2 job in training camp, but was moved to backup status in the last week of camp after two rough preseason games.

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has been more prone to blitzing this season than he has in the past and might have to lean more into that in this game. One-on-one coverage with McWilliams or Ringo is going to be scary for guys who are not considered starters.

The injuries might not make a difference as the Eagles have only beaten the Buccaneers once in the last 10 years. They are cursed against the Florida team, and it might be more of the same on Sunday if McWilliams or Ringo doesn't play well.
