No one loves a good comeback story like the City of Brotherly Love. Perhaps you've heard. A statue was built for a fictional boxer, and the citizens of this great town get ticked whenever its structure is disrespected. But, even that pales in comparison for the love they show to their Philadelphia Eagles.
You may have heard. They wrote quite the comeback story this season.
Philly lost Super Bowl LVII to the Kansas City Chiefs. A collapse ended the 2023-24 campaign, but they 'finished the story' Cody Rhodes style with a Chiefs arse kicking in SB 59.
Along the way, we fell in love with coaches and players, one being defensive back Isaiah Rodgers. He wrote a nice comeback story of his own, but it appears it will now take him to Minneapolis.
Isaiah Rodgers reportedly signs a two-year deal with the Vikings.
We don't bring up Rodgers' suspension to overmention one of the low points of his career. We do so to commend him for battling back. We're proud of him, and after a nice season with our Birds, he reportedly trades his green jerseys for one purple in color.
Isaiah's new deal is reportedly a two-year contract that will pay him $15 million. He joins the NFC North's Minnesota Vikings, allowing him to play with another of pro football's expected contenders once we reach the start of the 2025-26 NFL season.
Some of you may disagree with the statement that the Minnesota Vikings are contenders. We get that. Sometimes, we feel like that franchise is cursed.
They have, however, been in the mix as of late, and they get another piece for their secondary, signing Isaiah Rodgers. He leaves the City of Brotherly Love a Super Bowl champion after notching 26 tackles, four pass breakups, and a forced fumble while playing mostly in a reserve role. He started three regular-season games last season.
