The Philadelphia Eagles have released the final injury report before their Week 7 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, and it's mostly good news.

Starting with the bad, backup tight end Grant Calcaterra has been ruled out for the game with an oblique injury. This will be the second game he's missed after getting hurt in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos and not playing in the Week 6 matchup against the New York Giants.

Continuing with news that isn't bad, but will need to be monitored, defensive tackle Jalen Carter (heel) was limited in practice and has been listed as questionable. He missed the Giants game because the heel injury came up the day before the game.

Starting left guard Landon Dickerson did fully practice, but is still listed as questionable with his ankle injury. Dickerson has been banged up all year, but his ankle injury against the Broncos caused him to miss the Giants game.

Now the good news is that cornerback Quinyon Mitchell fully practiced and had no setbacks. He does not have an injury designation to his name, which means he's good to play against the Vikings after suffering his hamstring injury against the Giants.

Other injured players on the report include linebacker Zack Baun (thumb) and defensive tackle Jordan Davis (shoulder). They both fully practiced and also don't have an injury designation.

Eagles taking a step in the right direction with injury update

All eyes were on Mitchell as the Eagles are about to face off against the Vikings' Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. This likely means that Adoree' Jackson will be CB2 while Mitchell will follow around Jefferson in the game.

Carter being limited in practice throughout the week is not the best sign that he will play. It might be safer for the Eagles to hold him out and let him heal before getting him back on the field.

Dickerson's case seems to be better, but it could also be the same for him. Rushing him back onto the field won't help the Eagles long-term, even if it might cost the team a win.

This was a good injury report with better news than at the beginning of the week. Still a lot to figure out with Carter and Dickerson, which adds more stress going into the Carson Wentz revenge game.
