Outside of the Lane Johnson injury in Sunday's win against the Los Angeles Rams, the Philadelphia Eagles have not faced any issues when it comes to injuries. That might not be the case on Sunday.

6ABC's Jason Dumas reported that cornerbacks Adoree' Jackson and Jakorian Bennett are both injured and in jeopardy of being out for the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jackson is believed to have suffered a groin injury in the third quarter of the Rams game. Bennett's injury is currently unknown.

For the season, Jackson has 13 tackles and two pass deflections in three games. Bennett has six tackles and one pass deflection.

What's the next move for the Eagles?

Depending on the severity, the hope is that the Eagles don't have to place either guy on IR, but the depth of the corners is not going to be great. That's two players they are going to have to replace on the same roster.

Expect rookie Mac McWilliams to step in and make his first career start at corner. There is also the possibility that Kelee Ringo could start due to his experience, but both guys will have significant playing time.

Ringo was in line to be CB2 during his training camp battle with Jackson, but lost out on it in the final week of camp as he struggled mightily during preseason games. Even McWilliams was getting some first-team reps at CB2 by the end of camp, only in practice.

Most likely, the logical choice would be to bring in another cornerback for depth purposes from the practice squad. Expect either Brandon Johnson or Parry Nickerson to get called up. Nickerson made some noise in the final preseason game against the New York Jets with his interception, so with that play and his veteran experience, he might be the first choice.

It's a bad time for the Eagles to face injuries as they have the Buccaneers, who they have lost to in six of the last seven meetings dating back to 2015.
