Dan Orlovsky has said and done outrageous things regarding football, but Eagles fans may be rolling their eyes at his latest comments.
Orlovsky put out on social media that he believes the Eagles are one of three teams that should offer a mid-round draft pick for Colts backup quarterback Anthony Richardson.

When a fan asked Orlovsky to explain his reasoning behind the Eagles, he pointed out three specific things about Philly.
"1) absolutely zero controversy you have the defending SB champ and a top 10 player at position
2) someone is coming for McKee. Soon.
3) assets assets assets"
Should the Eagles actually consider bringing in Richardson in a trade?
With Jalen Hurts the starter, the move would be to incite some competition, presumably with backup quarterback Tanner McKee. While McKee isn't as seasoned as Richardson, he's performed at a high level every opportunity he's had since coming into the NFL as a sixth-round draft pick in 2023. McKee's play caught the eye of the Eagles' coaching staff in such a positive light that the team traded Kenny Pickett to the Browns.
Orlovsky also mentioned that the Rams and Vikings should inquire about Richardson's availability, as both teams have backup quarterbacks with higher passer ratings than Richardson. Orlovsky's post should be taken with a grain of salt as in today's day and age, the ability to create false outrage with outlandish tweets creates traction, traffic, and on specific social media platforms can result in financial incentives.
With the recent string of "reclamation projects" at the quarterback position in a different scenario, perhaps Richardson joining the Eagles isn't the most outrageous situation if McKee laid an egg in 2024 performances. The Eagles took a flier on Pickett last year, who was also a failed first-round pick, and provided adequate quarterback play when called upon.

The Eagles have done a good job of drafting and developing talent, with McKee aligning with their process. Maybe Richardson's career can rebound and run parallel to Alex Smith's or even Tommy Maddox's, but it's more than likely that it won't happen with the Vikings, Rams, and primarily the Eagles.
