It appears that Kelee Ringo is going to get another shot at starting as the CB2 for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Ahead of the Eagles-Broncos matchup on Sunday, a source told The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane that Ringo will make the start over Adoree' Jackson. Last week, Jackson missed the Buccaneers game due to his injury, but he has practiced all week to be ready to play.
There were hints by Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio that Ringo could "possibly" still start even if Jackson is healthy. Fangio complimented Ringo this week, saying that he played well.
Ringo finished last week's game four tackles and one pass deflection. He had some missed tackles in the game, but appears to have made quite the impression on Fangio and Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni.
Eagles rolling with Ringo over Jackson at CB2
Jackson outright won the CB2 job in training camp as he beat out Ringo and Jakorian Bennett for the job. Ringo got pulled from contention in the last week of camp and has been mostly a special teams player this season.
Game one did not go well for Jackson after he surrendered five receptions for over 100 yards against the Cowboys. He bounced back nicely in the next two games, as he allowed under 50 yards combined.
Ringo gets his opportunity to start his second straight game. This is a guy the Eagles secretly hope works out, as his 6-foot-2 frame gives him a distinctive advantage over other players on the field.
His issues have always been tackling and inconsistent play in coverage. He at least answered the call in coverage last week against the Buccaneers, but his missed tackles were talked about by Eagles fans after the contest.

The hope is that Ringo answers the call again and solidifies himself as the number two corner on the other side of Quinyon Mitchell.
