The 2025 Eagles draft class was once a beacon of continued development that made fans believe the franchise was building plenty of depth in addition to key contributors for the present.
This past loss against the Bears saw the 2025 Eagles draft contribute zero snaps on offense or defense in Week 13, with the class playing only on special teams.
What is going on with the Eagles' once promising 2025 rookie class?
The draft class has relied heavily on Andrew Mukuba and Jihaad Campbell this year, with limited contributions from Smael Mondon Jr. and Ty Robinson. This past week, Mukuba was sidelined with a fractured ankle and is now on injured reserve, and Campbell, who played zero defensive snaps against Chicago.
The rest of the rookie draft class has been nonexistent. Defensively, Mondon Jr. has played seven defensive snaps, mostly playing special teams, totaling five tackles this season. Ty Robinson has been a healthy scratch multiple times this season, recording one tackle and one pass deflection, playing 50 total snaps in 2025 (35 defense, 15 special teams). Mac McWilliams could not find his way on the field despite the Eagles' woes at cornerback, and Antwaun Powell-Ryland is now on the Bengals' practice squad.
Offensively, the draft class isn't much better with rookie offensive linemen Myles Hinton and Cameron Williams both on injured reserve, quarterback Kyle McCord on the practice squad, and Drew Kendall appearing in three games, registering 16 total snaps (four offensive, 12 special teams).
While it's never a guarantee that all a team's draft picks will work out right now, the Eagles have way more questions than answers regarding the production of their youngest players. Eagles fans will be anxiously awaiting an answer about the future of their 2025 first-round pick.
Campbell's role has diminished with Nakobe Dean's return from injury; however, Campbell has gone from a possible Defensive Rookie of the Year to a special-teams outcast, recording only six special teams snaps in Week 13.

With the lone remaining bright spot (Campbell) in the Eagles' draft class role diminishing, fans are starting to have serious concerns about the future of this team. In a season with seemingly so much exterior "noise", despite their 8-4 record, the 2025 Eagles have gone from a team with Super Bowl aspirations to now a team that can't get out of their own way, with an extremely bleak future.
