There has been speculation for over a month after Parsons asked for a trade from the Cowboys. It appears that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has finally done it.
The impact the Cowboys-Packers trade has on the Eagles
Well, the good news is the Eagles won't have to face Parsons twice a year. Parsons has been a force for Dallas since they drafted him in the first round. He has been a three-time All-Pro and has been selected to the Pro Bowl in all four years in the NFL.
The Cowboys can't no longer be legitimate contenders in the NFC East. Not that it really mattered as every Eagles fans' favorite stat still rings true with or without Parsons: 2024 combined score between Eagles and Cowboys was 75-13.
This will completely knock the Cowboys out of playoff and division contention as the Eagles fully shift their focus to the Washington Commanders in the conference and division.
It's a move that will likely raise questions about why Jones wouldn't try to secure a deal to keep Parsons. Now, the Eagles will have to game plan for Clark on the defensive line. While he is a solid run stopper, he obviously doesn't have the impact Parsons has on a game.
This is a transformative trade that will impact every team in the NFL, but this has more impact on the NFC East. The Eagles are now the front-runners to run the Eagles as long as they can stop the Commanders.

One thing to keep in mind Eagles fans as the celebration of Parsons' trade looms on, the Eagles still have to face the Packers in Week 10 so the team isn't completely out of the woods on facing Parsons.
