Injuries have continued to plague the Philadelphia Eagles team, and Week 9 against the New York Giants will be no exception.

20 players have been listed on the injury report with some kind of injury, which is actually a slight improvement from where it has been over the last few weeks. Still, the Eagles have a ton of key injuries they are monitoring, including DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, Jihaad Campbell, and Saquon Barkley.

So, who will play, and who is out for the contest? Here's the Eagles' final Week 9 injury report before they face their NFC East rivals, the Giants.

Eagles final injury report before Week 9 against Giants

Players with no injury designation to their names, including Saquon Barkley

Before diving into the individual players on the list, it is worth noting the other players that are active for the game. Here are the 13 players who has no injury designation to their names

  • Zack Baun, LB (Shoulder)
  • Markel Bell, OT (Finger)
  • Jordan Davis, DT (Thumb)
  • Saquon Barkley, RB (Hamstring/Back)
  • Jalyx Hunt, EDGE (Knee/Ankle)
  • Jake Elliott, K (Right Ankle)
  • Elijah Moore, WR (Neck)
  • Landon Dickerson, OG (Hip)
  • Dallas Goedert, TE (Knee)
  • Jordan Mailata, OT (Elbow)
  • Kenny Moore II, S (Glute)
  • Moro Ojomo, DT (Neck)
  • Jonathan Greenard, EDGE (Ankle)

Barkley is the biggest name on the list since he has worked out in the final two practices of the week for the Eagles. Expect him to still be on a snap count for the Giants game.

Greenard and Hunt are good to play off the edge after dealing with their injuries. Philly really needs those guys to step up and help Nolan Smith Jr. out after those two have combined with zero sacks on the year.

DeVonta Smith, WR (Hamstring)

Game Status: Out

This is officially the fifth game of the season that Smith is going to miss with the hamstring injury. There's a very good chance that if this Giants game goes south for the Eagles, the team could just decide in the bye week to just put Smith on IR and move on.

Dontayvion Wicks, WR (Ankle)

Game Status: Out

Wicks will be missing his third game of the season with the ankle injury. He could end up being in a similar situation to Smith where he could be on IR soon depending on this game goes.

Jihaad Campbell, LB (Hamstring/Quad)

Game Status: Out

Campbell will be missing his second straight game of the season with the hamstring and quad injuries. It will be Jeremiah Trotter Jr. who is replacing him in the starting lineup with Zack Baun.

Michael Carter, S (Abdomen)

Game Status: Out

Carter will be missing another game with the abdominal injury, which will hurt the depth at the safety position. It will be either Kenny Moore or Marcus Epps filling in at one of the safety positions with Andrew Mukuba.

Britain Covey, WR (Knee)

Game Status: Out

Covey will miss a second straight game with the knee injury, and this move being more impactful with the special teams unit. Cooper DeJean will be stepping in at punt returner in place of Covey for the Giants game.

Jonathan Jones, CB (Hamstring)

Game Status: Out

Jones being out for a second straight game may not affect the starting lineup, but it does make things interesting behind Quinyon Mitchell and Riq Woolen on the depth chart. Kelee Ringo would most likely be the next man up if Mitchell or Woolen gets hurt.

Tanner McKee, QB (Rib)

Game Status: Questionable

Adding insult to injury with his benching, McKee is also dealing with a rib injury, and his status for the Giants game is questionable. He has started the last three games at quarterback, going 0-3 in that span. Joe Milton III will be starting at QB, but McKee could end up being the backup for the game.
