The Philadelphia Eagles made eight trades in the 2024 NFL Draft. That's the most that their general manager Howie Roseman has ever made in a single selection meeting. An NFL Insider believes you can expect him to wheel and deal again this year.

As it stands, the Eagles own three of the top picks (32, 64, 96) and five picks between picks 100-200 (134, 161, 164, 165, 168). They have plenty of ammunition for potential deals with that type of collateral.

NFL Insider 'guarantees' the Eagles to make draft day trades

ESPN's Adam Schefter said on Monday that he "will guarantee" that the Eagles will make "a trade or two" during the NFL Draft in the coming weeks.

"I don't know for who, I don't know for what, I don't know when it will happen," Schefter said, "They will be moving and shaking, as they usually do in Philadelphia."

The most notable draft day trade in recent Eagles history -- acquiring running back D'Andre Swift and a day three pick from the Chicago Bears for two day three draft picks in 2023. Schefter noted that a similar move could be in the cards this year.

"That’s the kind of move—a Day 3 trade for a veteran—that I think we could see from the Philadelphia Eagles this year," Schefter noted.

Philadelphia could look to add a veteran on defense. Linebacker, cornerback, and safety fit the need that the Eagles have for a veteran presence. It's likely that the Eagles target an offensive lineman through the draft as they don't have an immediate need for a veteran player who could make immediate impact.

Pick No. 32 could be a hot commodity on the first night of the draft as the round comes to a close. The contract for each first round pick comes with a fifth-year option, something that teams value, especially when there are multiple prospects sliding on draft boards.

No matter what the trades are, Philadelphia's surplus of picks over the next two seasons -- 20 total -- is a recipe for movement.

"I think that they've got as much fire power in this draft as any team out there," Schefter said. "When you give a Super Bowl champion roster 20 draft picks over the next two drafts to go have fun with you become a team to watch."
