There's been a bit more misses from Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman than fans have been accustomed to seeing, but he's got a shot at writing the wrongs with one move.
The Miami Dolphins have been an unmitigated disaster this season, starting 1-5. The situation worsened after their ugly loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6, and Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's comments after the game.
"I think it starts with leadership and helping to articulate that for them, and then what we are expecting out of the guys.
We are expecting this, are we getting that? We have guys showing up late to player-only meetings, guys not showing up to player-only meetings. There is a lot that goes into that."
This smells like a great deal coming Roseman's way with the right trade
It's the best shot for the Eagles to take advantage of the Dolphins by drawing up a great trade to help them out. NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported the Eagles could be in the market for a cornerback or edge rusher before the November trade deadline.
One option from the Dolphins? Bradley Chubb.
The two-time Pro Bowler has had a solid season despite the awfulness that is around him in Miami. Chubb had racked up 15 tackles, six quarterback hits, five tackles for loss, four sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in six games.
Philly has gotten only 2.5 sacks and 12 quarterback hits from their edge rushers through six games. The Eagles have a major problem off the edge.
Plus, it's a match made in heaven since Chubb played under Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio when they both were with the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins. Chubb knows the scheme and knows what Fangio wants out of his edge rushers.
The Eagles could deliver a draft pick to the Dolphins. Most likely, at the highest, it would be a third-round pick, but it could be as low as a fifth-round pick to bring him in.

At this point, it doesn't matter how the financial part will be for the Eagles, as they need to make some kind of move to improve the roster after two consecutive losses. Chubb can instantly come in and help that defense out while Nolan Smith Jr. recovers from his injury.
