The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-4 after losing their fourth straight game, with the Carolina Panthers handing it to them in Week 7.

This season has been in horrible shape for the Eagles, and it is starting to feel like the playoffs are out of the question. It's also raising big questions about the franchise and whether the roster or the coaching staff needs changes.

A few people within the organization are in the hot seat and could be in trouble for their futures. Here is a look at who's on the hot seat, using a meter from 1 through 10, with 1 being cold and 10 being the hottest.

Hot seat meter for Eagles players and coaches entering Week 7

Jalen Hurts, QB

Going into the season, many people had doubts and concerns about Hurts and how he had played. Many questioned how he could adjust to Sean Mannion's new offense and whether he was coachable enough to change.

This season, he has shown some struggles, as he has tried to navigate through injuries. He completed 57.8% of his passes for 933 yards and eight touchdowns, with three interceptions. Hurts also rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown.

The news that Hurts is out for the season with the blood clot in his calf that spread to his lungs. That news has certainly taken all the pressure off of him and honestly gives him the ammunition to leave the franchise if he wanted to. His once-hot seat in 2026 is a lot cooler because of how the Eagles managed his injury.

Saquon Barkley, RB

There were some questions about Barkley entering the 2026 season as well, after nearly dropping 50% of his production from 2024 to 2025. Some wondered if his regression was just a sign of him getting older and being unable to reach 2,000 yards rushing in a year again.

In Weeks 1 and 3, Barkley showed some good stuff despite the offensive line issues, as he was averaging over five yards per carry. He has suffered two injuries throughout the year that now has cost him two games, as he is currently dealing with the hamstring injury.

While it isn't a super hot seat for Barkley, his future is in question, with many believing he should be traded since the season is not going well. It's an odd situation, but Barkley might not be an Eagle for long at this rate.

Hot Seat Meter: 4

Landon Dickerson, OG

Dickerson had about as bad a first game as someone could have in Week 1. He allowed four pressures, one quarterback hit, and one sack, and he committed one penalty.

It turned out that Dickerson had a knee injury that bothered him, and the Eagles placed him on IR. Rumors suggest he wasn't actually hurt and that the team soft-benched him.

Regardless of the situation, Dickerson is inching closer to the same fate Cam Jurgens faced: getting traded. Dickerson may not last long in Philly, even if he returns from IR. He would love to get on the field to prove that he can play, but he may not get that shot.

Hot Seat Meter: 7

Sean Mannion, Offensive Coordinator

Mannion's first season running the Eagles' offense has not gone well. The offense ranks 30th in total offense (255.5 yards per game), 29th in rushing (82.2 yards per game), 28th in points (17.7 per game), and 26th in passing (173.3 yards per game).

Nothing about this offense is working for Mannion right now. They lean too heavily on screen passes and running back swings that just don't work. Philly hasn't been able to create any explosive plays through the air. The running scheme does nothing to help the passing game

All kinds of stories are circulating about Mannion: that Nick Sirianni is holding him back from calling the plays he wants, that Nick is holding him back, that Mannion is stubborn about the calls he makes, and that he doesn't care about adjusting to players' skill sets. No matter the case, Mannion is the offensive coordinator; he runs the show, and he might be facing the same fate faceBrian Johnson and Kevin Patullo did.

Nick Sirianni, Head Coach

This season has nearly gone completely off the rails despite starting 2-0. The Eagles have lost four straight games, lost Lane Johnson to retirement, traded Cam Jurgens, and suffered multiple injuries.

Sirianni has also made some horrible in-game decisions that had everyone scratching their heads. While Sirianni's game management decisions have been mixed over the last season, this year has been an all-time low for him.

Now that the Jalen Hurts situation is rapidly worsening for the Eagles, Sirianni is not looking good with the public. He mishandled Monday's press conference, where reporters asked about the quarterback and how he plans to resolve the lingering issues on offense.

The 2026 season's failures fall squarely on Sirianni's lap, and while he's owned up to it, nothing has changed. He already went into the season on the hot seat after the Eagles' Wild Card exit last year and misfiring on a second offensive coordinator hire in three years. That seat is now burning hot for the head coach.
