It's never really been pretty for the Philadelphia Eagles this year, but this team is now 7-2 on the season. Now, this late into the year, teams are what their record says they are. So while it might not feel good, Philly is a 7-2 team.
They have not found consistent success on offense this year, and the defense has looked soft at times, but no NFL team is perfect, and all that matters when the clock hits zero is which team has more points. Philly won in ugly fashion on Monday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers and only needed 10 points to do so.
And, if you think about it, this win proves that the Eagles are capable of repeating as Super Bowl champions...
A huge indicator of a great team is being able to win in multiple fashions...
Here's the thing in today's NFL, especially this year: the parity has never been higher. We didn't have any unbeaten teams for very long, and just about every team in the league excels in at least one area. Sure, there are the true bottom-feeders, but that's always the case in the league.
Twenty teams right now are no worse than one game below .500, and nine teams in the NFC alone are .500 or better. With the number of players that are on a team, every team is bound to struggle here and there, but Philly has gotten out of the mud more times than not.
We all know that this team is strong in the trenches, and they have a good enough QB to stack more wins, but another huge foundational piece of being a great team in this league is being able to win multiple ways. Teams like the Dallas Cowboys are only able to win in shootouts - the defense simply can't stop a nosebleed.
Fortunately for the Eagles, though, not only can they win in a low-scoring dogfight like we saw in Week 10, but they can also win by putting a ton of points on the board like we saw against the LA Rams and New York Giants earlier this year.

Sure, Philly is going to lose multiple times more before the playoffs begin, but this team is as battle-tested as any in the NFL, and their ability to win in multiple fashions will come in handy when the playoffs roll around. Can the Eagles repeat as Super Bowl champions?
